Response from BBC Good Food Magazine re Gluten Free Mince Pie Mistake

Here is a comment from BBC Good Food Magazine about Gluten Free Mince Pies

When we originally tested, the information sent stated that the gluten structure of Sharpham Park spelt makes it easier to digest than wheat. We understand that Sharpham Park’s packaging and website clearly states that ‘this product contains spelt gluten’. For more information about products that are gluten free, please contact the Coeliac Society, 0870 444 8804, coeliac.org.uk

  2. I honestly believe these folks have NOT a clue what comes from consumption of Gluten or Wheat to a coeliac. I myself made a slip up just a week ago eating a Mushroom Strog that had been guaranteed 100% G & W free. It was not; and for around 6-8 hours I honestly thought the pain in my tummy would take me. Just today a local person told us we must get some Spelt flour as a coeliac friend of theirs swears by it especially being free of you know what!!! It took just two minutes to Goog it and find this site. Thank you, I could have but unlikely to have … made a big mistake!
